Relax? You need to get off this infatuation with trading our 1st round picks. If this team spends any first round picks for Herbig, I'm officially done. The guy was a 4th rounder and not saying he's not a quality player for the steelers. But we need to improve our drafting and find these players on our own rather than giving away picks for over achievers.

Wonder if Gary will be used at the OLB position in Parker's scheme? Parker is getting some weapons to improve the D and if he and his scheme are as advertised, the only thing left is to improve the CB and QB positions. You just know that they'll go CB in the first.

Not seeing the overpay on Gary deal stuff. His contract has no guaranteed money and he has been a productive player.

Plus two of our new coaches are very familiar with him.

Agree on Hooker and Steele, although with Steele his is more of a paycut. Not sure what Hooker details were but I wanted to see him gone as much as Wilson.

I meant the draft compensation. The Packers were motivated sellers, but Jerry has "sucker" stamped on his forehead. He should've cost us what Minkah Fitzpatrick did.

Packers ate a ton of dead money. I also think there were probably other teams interested with what his contract numbers relative to age and production look like (like possibly his former coach in Miami)

A 4th next yr is valued at a 5th this yr so its not a gross overpay. Contrary to the deals for Murray and Elam last yr (and Mingo the yr before) Gary is actually pretty good at football. He isnt a gamble on greatness.
