If history tells us anything, we might get one or two players out of this worth a shat.

Drop 8 spots, get a 2nd and 4th.

Now that you put it like that, not that bad.

It would mean no Tyron.... but but I could live with that.

Unless the run on QB's is real, then we might be able to trade up from 17 to 14 or somewhere and still land the kid.

Honestly, if the Patriots are that jacked for Cam Jordan, we should just tell them to fuck off and pick him ourselves.

I'm going to start calling all of you buddy. But just for tonight.

I want to try it on for a while. See if it's comfortable.

Well Mel's got me ready. A couple of head bobs, a nostril flare....and I'm ready to draft through a wall.

I wish ESPN would scale down their panel and leave more time for Kiper. I don't give two shats what Keyshawn Johnson or Tom Jackson have to say about the prospects.

Just give me Berman doing his "whooooooooa!" during the reaches and Mel breaking down the picks.

I'll be watching NFL Network.

Unless they have Faulk on.

The first time I see Faulk, I'm going to ESPN.

Potential deal with Minnesota?

Posted by Rafael at Thursday, April 28, 2011

I've heard in the last hour that the early QB rush rumors have legs and Dallas is fielding calls from teams wanting to fill their quarterback need.

The Minnesota Vikings are a team connected with the 9th pick.

From a value standpoint, this would make a lot of sense for Dallas. They could avoid a top-10 signing bonus, which would be hefty if the 2010 rules remain in place. At the same time, the Cowboys would only drop three spots to 12th and still be in the mix for most, if not all the top OT and DE prospects likely to be atop their short list.

The prize for dropping from 9 to 12 is a mid-3rd. If the Vikings and Cowboys went strictly off the points chart, they would swap this way:

Dallas to Minnesota -- the 9th overall and its 5th round pick;
Minnesota to Dallas -- the 12th overall and its 3rd round pick.

Think of it this way -- Dallas' 5th round pick appreciates about 70 spots, giving the team two high 3rd rounders.

That's if the deal goes down. Who knows what other offers are being shopped before the Valley Ranch brass?

Just had a visit with a NE authority that doesn't believe NE will pay market value to move up so DAL will probably not get deal they hope.

Well go fuck yourself, New England.

My wife texted me and said she's happy I'm excited about the draft, and that she was going to cook me some of my favorite mexican dip.

I can't wait to take a picture of it and post it on Facebook.

Hostile says if we can't trade up for Peterson, New England has our pick.

Lock it up.

And if it turns out differently, that post will be deleted or edited to fit what really happens tonight.
