I really can't believe they'd take this guy at 26 but numerous Cowboys reporters are on it now.

I know Iowa TE's have been on a roll in the NFL lately, but I watch these clips and I can't help but think I'm watching the damn Stealer's from the 70's and their #84 TE Randy Grossman

Love the first two picks although I doubt either is available to us where we pick in 1 and 2.

Ryland or Michigan's Jake Moody have to be major day three draft targets for us, and our ST coaches personally worked out both.
I forgot which fanspeak draft board I used. I think it was the Buffalo draft board.

With all these supposed rumors of trades, anything is possible. Regardless, Jerry lost his balls a long time ago and wouldn't pull the trigger even if Bryce Young, or whoever is their best QB were to somehow fall.

Apparently Nick Eatman has now picked Sam Laporta for us at 26 too
LaPorta? Maybe he's heard something, but Laporta, in every single board I have looked at, and I have looked at a lot, is not a first round pick.

The behemoth from Georgia is usually ranked higher, as are Kincaid, Musgrave, and Mayer. Surely, any of those 4 will be there at 26.

Ugh, this already feels like a Taco, Bobby Caprenter, Trystan pick.

Am I to believe every single board I have seen is wrong? When Travid Frederick was picked, Pete Prisco did mock Travis at that spot, so it was untrue that nobody had him as a first rounder.

Yes, there are players like Nashon's brother that boards have huge varying opinions on. But I can't recall one that put LaPorta in the first round.

I'm hoping Broaddus' crystal ball is as good as his spelling.

Several of the draft guru people had moved LaPorta way up their boards in the newest versions.

McShay had LaPorta at 43rd, Kiper had him at 36.

Injuries can screw up the best laid plans, but on paper this scares me.

And Jerry thinks the Eagles mortgaged their future.

Eagles Rumors: PHI Has 'Real' Interest in Drafting Bijan Robinson with No. 10 Pick
Well in a way Jerry was right. They did lose a number of really good players this past offseason and they just gave Hurts the mega extension.

There's several threads over at PussyZone with people crying about Howie Roseman and what he'll do during the draft, but I couldnt care less. His track record in the draft is actually pretty poor. I doubt that changes anytime soon.

Lance Zierlein has Laporta as his 8th best TE.

This is from Bob McGinn from a few days ago, he has LaPorta 4th based on his talks with the league personnel people.

My survey of 16 personnel men in the past few weeks asked them to rank the tight ends on a 1-to-5 basis, with a first-place vote worth five points, a second worth four and so on. Michael Mayer led with 10 firsts and 68 ½ points, followed by Dalton Kincaid (61, five firsts), Darnell Washington (40, one), Sam LaPorta (26 ½), Luke Musgrave (21), Tucker Kraft (11), Luke Schoonmaker (10) and Brenton Strange (two).
