The idea that we franchise Schultz is absolutely ludicrous. He's Dak's security blanket and gets more touches because thew QB can't see the field but he's far from a top tier TE. The dude can't block to save his life is one of those pieces that's replaceable. I'd rather tag Gregory and it's not that I'm enamored by him. But he's a better DE than Schultz is a TE.

Every gm in the top 5 is drooling all over themselves right now.
Davis is not going to go in the top-5, and I doubt he even goes top-10.

He might go somewhere between 12-20.

I'm a GA homer and love the guy, but he didn't log an incredible amount of plays and he was fairly routinely off the field in pass rush situations. Would certainly be a solid pick in the 20's for sure.

What's the franchise tag for a TE valued at? I honestly have no clue.

Gallup is a good player. He got injured for the first time ever and unfortunately it was the worst possible timing for him, but he is a really good young player. Works hard and makes a lot of plays when he is out there.

I wouldn't keep him at "any cost" but if they are going to trade/release Cooper (which seems like a certainty) then keeping Gallup is pretty smart. Te ACL thing sux but by all accounts he should be ready for the season and modern medicine has turned the ACL thing into almost a non-issue with players careers.

Gallup is a decent player but he's far from a #1 and shouldn't get anywhere near that kind of money. I've heard varying reports but I can live with 5 years and 30 million. But I really doubt that's legit.

Zoner-tards dont count for anything

There's a larger than average portion of the ill-informed Cowboys fans that believe this. They have to believe it or they lose all "hope." Despite years of evidence tot he contrary.

D Law was asked to restructure his contract. He refused to do so today. Which is what was expected to happen.

Looks like he will be out the door with Cooper.

blows my mind jeri & spawn repeatedly let themselves get bent over by their players, they rarely have any leverage and when they do, they still cave anyway (see Zekes deal). Its miracle the man made as much money as he has with this mentality

Another entitled Dallas player that got paid and shit the bed. And let's not forget we traded up for him to boot. He can walk; the guy just wasn't a difference maker and played too sparingly for the money he was being paid.

Apparently restructuring Dak’s contract was already built in to the original contract. All the Cowboys have to do is activate it. I can’t remember the amount of money it will free up. I want to say it was in the low teens.

This shit has been going on since Dez. Every time Jeruh makes a Cowboy the highest paid player in franchise history or gives a player a huge payday this shit happens.

Zeke
Dak
D Law

Cowboys pay their player and the following season/s they disappear.
