The Vikings are by no stretch an overly talented team. On offense they have a stud RB, and that's it. Bridgewater is nothing to write home about. He's a game manager. The defense is decent. Probably rounding out the top 10.

But the Vikings are likely going to make the playoffs. They are 6-2, while we are 2-6. Why? Because although Zimmer's roster is limited, he is able to get the best out of that team. He doesn't give great press conferences. You will not hear him spewing about BAM! FINISH! BALL! BALL! BALL!

You want an example of a coach that is doing far more with less? There you have it.

This defense got exposed. Like I have been saying, if a team needs 13 to win, they get 13. If they have to shoot it out with us and need 30? They get 30. Injuries notwithstanding - all that shows is you're a mediocre team with NO depth. This was not our best game of the season. It's six in a row we lost because we can't stop people, are out of shape, gassed in the 4th quarter and have no depth at all.

They want to keep drafting these smallish Dlinemen to emphasize speed. But I don't care how big or small you are... how fast are you going to be come the 4th quarter, after having 300+ lbs. Olinemen bearing down on you?

I like Marinelli, but Hayden should not be your starter.

LDE - Demarcus Lawrence - He is RDE. At best, he's a work in progress. Jeremy Mincey is a JAG and a free agent.
LDT - Tyrone Crawford - Got his payday and shut it down. 3Tech has to be active in this scheme.
RDT - Nick Hayden - Pure scrub. No clue how he is a starter and Marinelli favorite. Also a free agent.
RDE - Greg Hardy - Menace, on and off the field. Free agent. Randy Gregory not ready to be an every down player.

SLB - Kyle Wilber - JAG and a free agent. Anthony Hitchens is ordinary this year.
MLB - Rolando McClain - Unimpressive this year. Free agent.
WLB Sean Lee - Simply can't be counted on to be healthy. Love the player.

LCB - Brandon Carr - Hasn't been his normal awful self but still. Not a free agent but a likely cap casualty.
SS - Barry Church - Has always been pedestrian, Cowboys fans are finally admitting it. Team saves money by moving on from him this off-season.
FS - J.J. Wilcox - Has no business at free safety. Where's the coaching? Even casual fans can see he takes horrible angles.
RCB - Morris Claiborne - We're all happy that he's mediocre this year. 2 high draft picks and several million $$ for mediocre? Free agent.

Orlando Scandrick and Byron Jones will factor into next year's secondary. Team has to decide what Jones is.

Zimmer is a no-bullshit ass kicker. I'm not saying he's Lombardi, but there's a reason Parcells loved him so much -- because he doesn't back down from anyone and doesn't sugarcoat it when players need to get their shit together.

Basically, he's the exact opposite of our gaping hole order-taker.
