For my money, in today's parity driven league you need two things to win consistently:

Quality coaching
Sound qb play

You have those two things and you can basically overcome any other deficiency on your team.

We have subpar coaching
And Romo is a shell if himself, I fear.

I think Romo plays at best 8-9 games. The bottom falls out this year and we have sweeping changes during the offseason.

same 8-8 team but I think team flops earlier, possibly gives up on Garrett, 6-10.

I believe in Romo's ability but I don't think we can stop anyone on D and I obviously have little faith in Garrett's coaching.

Struggling to come up with 8. Got us splitting the East, and we went 5-1 last year, so we may do better there, but I think Washington will be improved. Most of these out of division games can go either way, but we'll win some we should lose and lose some we should win. Can see us beating STL but losing to Indy, etc.

Pretty sure San Fran, Seattle, New Orleans and Chicago will be losses. Pretty sure we will beat Jax and Houston. If we go .500 on the rest, that's 7-9. So that's my vote.

I believe in Romo's ability .

I like Romo, but his back has to be a major concern. Especially considering his go to move is that spin.

If our OLine can keep Romo clean, then maybe. But I have to think defenders will target Romos back.

No freaking idea. I could see the 9-7, NFCE champ like bb said. Let's face it, this division has sucked, and Garrett has been removed from the day-to-day coaching as much as possible. We could have things break right for us this year. I have a weird feeling we could beat the Niners Week One (no Aldon Smith maybe, natural letdown after three straight great years for them) and that could get us going.

But I could also see us cratering. We were really lucky with injuries on offense last year. Romo's back could easily not hold up and Dez has had his injury issues also. If things go bad, the team could easily realize what a lame duck Garrett is and tune him out.

If the team stayed healthy I could see us winning 9 or 10 games, maybe 11. They have a chance to be reeally good offensively and the special teams are solid.

I dont think its possible for the defense to be as bad as it was last yr or the year before last. I dont think they've added any really "good" players (save maybe Melton, who is a question mark because of the knee) but they will be younger and have mroe team speed, that should help some.

Nobody in this division is really good. I also doubt Nick Foles dupliactes last years miracle season for philly. NYG and Washington both stink worse than us.

New York and Washington have had more recent success than us, and have better coaching. New York has significantly better coaching. And unless Jay Gruden drools on himself during press conferences, I guarantee he's a better coach than the red ******.

No way, even with good health. The defensive side of the ball is filled with too many ifs (Lawrence, Spencer's knee, Melton's knee, Crawford's heel, Lee's health, Carter's unpredictability) and mediocrity (Carr, Claiborne, the free safety position, etc).

Shanahan was a better HC than Garrett. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

Romo has been making chicken salad for years. Laurent Robinson making plays running around like he's playing backyard football kind of proved how worthless the actual "plays" are. The scheme is more of a concept...and a lazy, susceptible one at that.

So, with an offensive scheme that will not change except to become even more risky to Romo and the Dallas turnover ratio, the only saving grace will be Garrett fired and like Jim Caldwell rescuing the Ravens from the Cam Cameron failure, Callahan could right the ship. But since that is unlikely, the team will get bullied rather often.

The defense doesn't have a chance. There is no one to really stop the run on defense, which teams are going to figure out and they will gash the Dallas rush men on draws and delays.

Fuck all you Cabal. We're going 11-5.

Hell I might be on the 13-3 bandwagon in another few weeks.

I can't expect anything better than the last 3 years.

I doubt the defense and special teams score 6 times, and I doubt they nearly score an additional 4 times like they did last year when they set the offense up inside the opponents 5 yard line on 4 different occasions.

I don't expect the Giants or Redskins to be as bad as they were last year, and 3 of those 4 games were 1-score games.

I think the defense will likely still suck. I think teams will run all over them if they want and pass with little resistance if they want.

I think opposing offenses will be able to move pretty much at will by the time the middle of the season rolls around any sort of improvement that people would expect from the offense will be negated.

Barring an offensive juggernaut, Dallas will likely be where they were last year.
