Three up, Three down

DETROIT -- The Cowboys suffered a 31-30 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Ford Field. As we normally do, we review the performances in our weekly Three up and Three Down.

Three Up

Sean Lee. On a defense that allowed a franchise-record 623 yards, Lee was one of the few that made plays. He led the Cowboys with 10 tackles and had two interceptions. Lee also made a statement by saying if the Cowboys don't fix their problems, all they'll be is 8-8.

Dwayne Harris. In a wild fourth quarter, Harris set the tone with kick returns of 34 and 56 yards which set up scoring drives for the Cowboys. When his afternoon was done, Harris had three returns for 113 yards.

Terrance Williams. Tony Romo directed 10 passes Williams' way and despite just two catches for 64 yards, Williams had an explosive 60-yard score pushing his team to a 10-point lead. While the Cowboys need to give the ball to Dez Bryant and Jason Witten more often, Williams is becoming a trusted receiver.

Three Down

Dez Bryant. He should have gotten more targets and catches, but his sideline meltdown wasn't needed. Yes, it's OK to be upset, but Bryant needs to figure out a way to channel his frustrations when things are not going his way.

Monte Kiffin. The defense gave up over 600 yards to the Lions' offense and Calvin Johnson beat up the Cowboys' secondary for 329 yards. The Cowboys played too much man on Johnson and didn't blitz enough on defense. Kiffin doesn't have all his pieces, but the Lions smashed his game plan apart.

Brandon Carr. A long day for the starting cornerback. He had some good coverage on Johnson, but he got stiffed-armed twice and allowed a bulk of the 329 receiving yards. Carr guessed wrong on a route by Johnson on the first touchdown of the game.

The tackle attempt or lack thereof on the 87yd run and catch by Johnson was beyond pathetic.

Easily could have kept that at about a 10-15 yd again but he made some half-ass attempt of stripping the ball and then just fell down like he had been shot.

Don't forget his shitty effort on the deep ball when Heath was helping

Heath fucked that play up a lot more than Carr did. There was no reason for him to not go after the ball in front of Johnson. Carr was behind him.
