Lovie Smith failed in Chicago.

Why is anyone suggesting he would be different here? Why not Dick Jauron then? Dave Wanstedt?

No, Lovie Smith

You'd have a great point if it wasn't for that whole coaching a team lead by Rex Grossman to the Super Bowl thing

My point remains.

I like our defense a lot. Finding an offensive minded head coach is what we need. But that will just fuck up our defense.

I think Jerry has in mind that if he makes a change, he hires an offensive-minded coach and keeps Kiffin and Marinelli. After he signed them he said we'd be in this defense for a long time. So I think he must have assured them they'd stick around even if he had to hire a new HC.

That's messed up as far as the HC not making all the hires himself, but at least I don't think we'll scrap the D.

The main reason the Garrett hire pisses me off and has pissed me off so much is the wasting of the prime of not just Romo, but Ware and Witten also.

Yep.
Romo's story should be one of finding that guy no one else wanted and making him well known, rich and owner of several championship rings.
He is now well known and rich.
Sadly,Romo's legacy is going to be blown chances and bad choices by management.

If he hires Gruden, then is it really a problem? Kiffin was Gruden's DC and Marinelli held the same spot as now when they won the Super Bowl. Gruden is the only logical choice.

I'm ready to move on from Romo. He's already lost his ability to extend plays. I mean, he still does it once in a while, but more than ever he's rushing throws and feeling pressure that isn't there.

If I see one more 5 yard out to Witten on 3rd and 5 1/2 yards to go or more, I'll puke.

Witten isn't taking an out and turning up field, he's like a fucking boat out there, it takes forever to get him pointed in a different direction. His stiff arm is hilarious. He's a fucking lawn dart.

While I'm ranting, Claiborne is worthless. Bruce Carter has regressed. Scandrick :puke. Bernadeau, trash.

Basically the following would get parachutes if the team plane was going down and I was in charge.

LP LaDucer(sp?)
Dan Bailey
Chris Jones
Dez Bryant
Tyron
Frederick
Hatcher
Ware
Lee
church
Monte Kiffin
Miranelli

The rest can fuck off and die.

I'd give one to Carr as well.

Did anyone see Romo yelling at Garrett yesterday

Heard about it. What was it all about?
What is this... I missed it.

Only thing I saw yesterday was one time Tony was talking all animatedly to Garrett about something and Garrett was just sort of looking off to the side, like he was barely listening. Seems like that's how Garrett always reacts to him. It's weird.

Garrett said they didn't run enough especially in no huddle when Romo was calling the plays
