Bill Nichols / Reporter
Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones likes what he sees from the Cowboys under interim coach Jason Garrett, but not happy enough to take interim off his title.
He reminded reporters that Garrett was the offensive coordinator under Wade Phillips during Dallas' 1-7 start.
"What is real important that we all understand is that we all were a part of the huge disappointment,'' Jones said. "What you're seeing from me is just a reluctance to get all gunned up over how we're doing when we've had a disappointing year."
"Probably the facts are that it's going to be cast as a disappointing year no matter how well Jason does. We are certainly giving him the opportunity to win over the team, win over the fans, and all of that is a plus.''
Dallas is 3-1 under Garrett. Its only loss was a 30-27 decision to the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.
"I haven't seen anything that I didn't know about Jason at all,'' Jones said. "He knows how to get turnovers and make big plays. That's the big difference over the last four weeks.''

!!! We're 3-1 under Garrett and could easily--rightfully be 4-0, and yet bitches continue to complain because the Cowboys didn't play THE PERFECT GAME. If you going to play that idiotic game of 'IF', well here's one for you. IF... the refs don't call that bullshit holding call on Hurd after Dez's 85-yard KR, then WE STILL would have won the game. That leverage penalty evens it out, as far as I'm concerned, although it was more legit whereas the holding call was bullshit.
