I think Karl Powe was skinnier. Rocket didn't weigh much either.

There's one picture from training camp his rookie yr. Its 130 degrees and there is Williams with a jersey that engulfs him and a white undershirt under it. It almost looks like there is absolutely no "body" underneath it.

If he weighed 170 lbs soaking wet, I'd be surprised.

all I remember is that Troy refused to throw to him because he ran shitty routes

Billy Davis, Ed Hervey, Jeff Ogden, this Williams guy. Eric Bjornson

Yeah we gave Aikman all sorts of world class help in the mid to late 90's.

Call it progress. You do know at one time you had a Hispanic holder in Romo, holding the ball for a Hispanic kicker named Jose Cortez?

And I would imagine that many other Hispanics that are Cowboys' fans like yourself, feel the same way; to which there is nothing wrong with that. And Jerry being the businessman that he is recognizes this marketing potential with that segment of the population, while getting a good player to boot---albeit one that we did not need. Yet when I pointed this out... you jumped all over my ass and accuse me of being a racist. LOL.

I said your comment was racist, and it was. You said the ONLY reason Jerry drafted him was to sell jerseys as if that is the only reason possible why a hispanic player would be drafted. You are holding his race against him for no reason other than your own personal racism. You later backed down from your comments and admitted he was a good player. My favorite Cowboy player is Dez Bryant, a black dude. I guess i don’t see why race has to even be a factor into anything.

It will be a popular jersey. Cowboys have a ton of Hispanic fans, especially here in AZ and in CA. I can already hear the fans at Oxnard all over this guy.

and everlasting calm down, I'm bot being racist. Just making an observation.

I dunno, are you running out and buying Fredrick jerseys? (assuming you’re white)

It’s just dumb comments that you guys make. You will see hispanics with Witten Jerseys, Ware Jerseys, ect.

Hispanic fans like rooting for Hispanic players. They root for white and Black players too but it's like it's a pride, being proud kind of issue. Nothing wrong with that.

I remember how proud/excited my Black Cowboy fan friends were when Quincy Carter was named starting QB. These guys all loved Aikman but it was a big deal to many that the Cowboys had a Black QB. To me, on a much smaller level it's like Black people taking more of an interest in MLB when Jackie Robinson signed or the same deal with golf when Tiger Woods took off. Pride in your heritage and being able to don a jersey of someone who shares it. All good things.

No Frederick jersey despite my whiteness. For the record, my Great Grandmother is Spanish and was born in Mexico. My kids are both Black. I'm hardly a racist. Except for Asians, I hate them (hi Sheik).

At the end of the day, his jersey sales will depend on if he can play football. Jackie Robinson was a great baseball player. Tiger Woods was the best golfer in the world. They were loved by all races and they deserved the recognition. Sure you are happy when a minority does something with their life. I root for anybody that has to defy the odds to make something of themselves. I watched the movie, “The Impossible” last night. I rooted for those rich white people. That said, I don’t think race had anything to do with the Cowboys drafting #89 as Laz ignorantly suggested.

its an offensive league-you cant play good defense even with good defensive players...look what the ravens did to SF in the SB..games are being played in the 50s-60s now..maybe thats why we disregarded defense

He likes to paint and play basketball. His favorite player was Brandon Jacobs.

That said, i think it’s pretty cool to have a hispanic QB throwing to a hispanic TE on America’s Team.

Exciting stuff.

WGAS where they from?
As long as they make plays they can be from Papua New Guinea for all I care.

I think your comments are pure ignorance. Hispanics don’t follow the Cowboys because it’s full of hispanics. Simply adding someone with an ethnic last name won’t translate to high jersey sales. I feel sad for you and many others that have a particular hatred for anyone of latin descent. I fear for my children having to grow up in a world with people like yourself. Only thing worse is probably the vile pedophiles that jack off to under aged girls.

I think you're being way too sensitive here sir. Pride in your heritage is cool. I'm jealous of it. I'm a mutt and we have no real tradition anymore.

Let's just drop it (Escobar jersey issue) so no one else gets their feelings hurt. Laz this mans you too.
