Yeah, better to not even try to improve and just hope other teams don't notice.

What does that have to do with you guys bitching regardless :confused

Why do you guys want the same group of people wasting high picks on offensive linemen when they've struck copper with all of one of their recent choices?

Jerry: Team's top three picks in 'early 20s' on board

April, 26, 2013
By Tim MacMahon | ESPNDallas.com

IRVING, Texas – As far as Jerry Jones is concerned, his first-round trade-down deal was further justified Friday night.

The Cowboys took Baylor wide receiver Terrance Williams with the No. 74 overall pick, which they acquired from the San Francisco 49ers along with No. 31 (Wisconsin center Travis Frederick) in exchange for the 18th pick.

Jones wanted to make sure the media knew that Williams was way higher than 74th on the Cowboys’ draft board.

For that matter, Jones said that the Cowboys considered San Diego State tight end Gavin Escobar a bargain with the 47th overall pick.

“If you look at those first three picks, if you could see our draft boards, you could see beginning in the early 20s those first three picks right there within about four of each other,” Jones said. “Those first three on our draft board are right there in that early-twenty area.”

Frederick, whom Jones refers to as “a foundation in the middle” of the offensive line, was No. 22 on the Cowboys’ board. Escobar and Williams were actually in the mid-twenties. The Cowboys gave 19 players first-round grades, so they considered their top three picks all high second-round talents.

Like I said I quit for the night.

U guys are impossible. U hate Jerry and Garrett so much it has made u not even be able to see a good group of players as a positive.

If these guys perform well this summer, not one of u should say dick. Not a word.

They are all backups who won't help, Garrett doesn't know how to use them and the guards will get us beat anyway.

Fuck this summer, these assholes better elevate the offense to the top of the league and be running other teams into the dirt in January.

My argument isn't even that these guys suck.

To be honest, I don't follow college football enough to know if they do suck or not. They could be studs. That doesn't change the fact that they drafted players who aren't going to be starters when they probably could have gotten starters. Any OG taken today or yesterday is better than what they have. They could have drafted Terron Armstead in place of Williams. Many places had him as a 2nd round pick. Mayock at #61 overall and CBS Sports at #48 overall. Most say he's raw but what's the point in having Callahan if he can't develop a talented yet raw player. Not even like the bar is set too high to outperform Doug Free.

These guys could be awesome. Fuck, I hope they are. But I know that ultimately it's really not gonna make a big difference for the team if they still can't get a fucking short conversion running the ball or if Romo has to watch the pass rush while trying to take the snap.

It's not about the players they picked, it's the positions. Unless anyone here wants to step up and say they have so much confidence in Dallas to accurately distinguish one single guy from the rest of the lot, the idea that they chose the best player on their board can get flushed with last nights bean burrito.

You mean like how that one sissy poster on this forum whines and bitches about Tyron Smith on every play. I agree, it's the worst.

Has Jerry ever said he took a shitty deal. Pretty sure Stephen was saying they won on the value chart for the trade........

Salesman, first and foremost.

Jesus christ.

Armstead is weaker than free. Newbury said he plays on roller skates and is an athlete.

Lets definitely bitch about that.

pointing out your hypocrisy is hardly deflection.

I would hope that even these assholes learn from their mistakes (Brewster, Arkin) and improve. Tyron Smith was a step in the right direction but them acting like that one move is enough is crazy. I'd like to think that someone in that Front Office is bright enough to recognize Brandon Moore is the better option than Livings/Bernadeau for the next few seasons.

Moore and either Winston or Clabo, plus Frederick and T Smith would have the makings of a vastly improved OL.

It might not be Dallas 1992 caliber, but it'd be a tremendous improvement over the past few seasons.

Soooo you hope that Jerry Jones learns from his mistakes and turns into a great GM someday?

You can't draw blood from a stone, dude. This FO will never "get" Olinemen.

great GM? Never going to happen.

recognizing that the Guards are getting our huge investment QB killed and are the main culprits on us not being able to close out games? Maybe

And then the most important part, trusting this FO and our scouts to choose the right pieces?

Why not try to hit on positions that they are relatively good at it using high selections?

Raw?

Sounds like he needs weight room time and good coaching.......thankfully the best that money can buy for each coach work in Dallas.

I just threw Armstead out there as a fucking example of an OL prospect that is rated high enough to be worth consideration.

Ahem, David Arkin. A strength coach with 6 rings can't do anything with him.
