I have some concerns with Winston. There are rumors about knee and back problems and if he is still playing well, KC should have kept him. Getting rid of Free is a good move wheather they sign Winston or not.

There shouldn't be any "convincing". It's as easy as telling him his play has sucked balls for 2 years straight and he can either take a cut or be cut.

There shouldn't be any back and forth between he and the team about this.

Winston doesn't play every position on the OL. he also does nothing to fix the gaping hole in the interior so no, signing Winston (or Clabo) wouldn't mean they weren't taking another OL early.
