Wes Phillips expected to be promoted to Cowboys tight ends coach
Submitted by 60 Max Power O Staff on January 26, 2013 - 12:01pm

Current offensive line coach Wes Phillips is expect to become the Dallas Cowboys tight ends coach, if NFL.com's Gil Brandt is correct in his assumption.

Wes is the son of Wade Phillips. He was a part of the staff when Wade was head coach and fired by Jerry Jones, but he put any hurt feelings aside and stayed with the team. Now his loyalty might pay off by moving up the line.

Wes is thought to be highly regarded at Valley Ranch.

If I was Cowboys player I sure would feel "uncomfortable" about these grade A coaching moves we are making.

I keep hearing about how highly regarded this guy is. Lets see what he can do with my pet cat James Hanna.

Did Wes Philips ever play anywhere? I can't find a thing about him.

This guy just coaches whatever position that Jerry can't find a coach for.

He played at utep from 97-01 was the qb and had good numbers he also played qb for the San Diego riptide of the afl2.

I think he has been a coach longer than Garrett.

Giggle giggle.
