Fire Garrett and his staff.

Hire Lovie Smith as head coach and Norv Turner to run the offense.

(we had an interest in Lovie previously, and Lovie had Norvs brother as an OC for a # of years)

I too want Lovie Smith..but as Defensive Coordinator.

Some guys are just better OC's or DC's ..being a HC isn't for everyone.

He's a good head coach. His defense are always on point.

Just needs a quality OC, which he's never had.

All for firing Garrett 100 times over. But our high dollar corners would largely be wasted in that cover-2 scheme.

Still, don't want to nitpick. Get a proven offensive mind in here before Romo's career is totally wasted and we're back to the Quincy/Hutch/Henson/Vinny days.

It's crazy how much his players love Norv.

I mean they are really torn up about losing him. You could tell in the interviews locally last night.

I was really afraid of getting him when we got Phillips. But we'd have been better off. He's won 10 games a year despite a front office that is completely unwilling to spend money.

Norv is Exhibit A for my great Coordinator/not so great Head Coach argument. I think he is one of the better OC's in the NFL over the last 20 years. He was in Dallas, again in San Francisco after the Redskins job, and again in San Diego under Schottenheimer (sp?). I think he would really help here, do wonders for Romo, and Garrett would greatly benefit as well.

That's a problem with me as well. I hate cover-2. However, Smith's defenses has always been tops in generating turnovers, so I could dela with it.

Things could have been a lot different had we taken Norv instead of Wade, and we might have had Dom Capers as DC.

I dont know if you've noticed, but other than one fluke yr up there, Capers' defenses have been garbage
