That was Drew Friggin' Brees.

On a fast track.

In an NFL that has placed an ungodly emphasis on being offensive/passing game friendly.

And yeah, we were playing with a backup FS who's been with the team for 7 week, a fourth option at ILB (Poppinga) who's been with us 3 weeks, a nickleback who's been with us since December 1st, a Dime back who's been with us 2 weeks, a Nose Tackle signed from the practice squad 3 weeks ago, and a DE who signed with us 2 weeks ago and was out of the league most of last year.

We've got spare parts all over the place. Ernie Sim, who signed with us only at the end of October, played only a few snaps and had to be pulled. Alex Albright, a 2nd year UDFA, missed over a quarter of action as well. On, and DeMarcus Ware is playing with one arm basically.

I'm not making excuses. I'm stating facts. We've got guys on defense who shouldn't be in the league. We've done well against two good QB's the past two weeks, but players like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees our surgical and you're going to be hard pressed to stop them considering how the rules are set up in the NFL, and how deadly they are.

Oh, so if we win, we're gutty. If we lose, it's to be expected.

In all seriousness, Brees and the Saints were the last team you'd want to play with a scotch tape defense.

With all of the injuries on the defense, it means the Dallas offense has to carry more of the burden. They almost did it today, but fell a bit short.

this couldn't have come as a surprise. most of us were expecting a shootout today and we got one.

Only gripe I have, because I expected a loss, was two decisions by Garrett.

1. Not keeping Brees off the field with timeout to burn at the end of the first half.

2. Taking the ball out of Jesus Romo's hand on the last drive. Really? A fucking run? GFY.

Agreed.

And when we get to the playoffs, the only team that scares me is Green Bay, because Rogers, Finley, and Cobb can do exactly what Brees, Graham, and Sproles did to us.

Everyone else, I like our odds the way we're playing.

Can't we just play some of these guys with their Injuries?

Carter doesn't need an elbow, just use his speed and tackle people with your head like Jenkins

I like how it takes us 10 games of garbage play by Danny McCray to evaluate him.

Guys, it's the injuries. Otherwise, we'd be like 12-3 right now.

We don't even need to add anyone in the off-season. Just get everyone healthy and this team is a Superbowl contender next year.

Right?

Mike Jenkins is really showing his ass to the league. Bad attitude, can't tackle, and stays injured.

Perspective... hmmm. How does this all apply to the offense only being able to score 10 points per half? Maybe if the offense were able to sustain drives and score, then the defense would not tire out so much and so quickly, and they would be less likely to be injured.
