Gruden and Holmgren can go somewhere else. Same with Cowher.

What did Holmgren do in Cleveland? Exactly

I want Payton

He didnt coach in Cleveland

Pretty good resume, only 3 losing years in 17, a bunch of playoff appearances. Should have two super bowl titles (got robbed by refs v Pitt)

How can people not give him credit for getting Matt Hasselbeck to a Superbowl? And like you said should've won if not for the crooked zebras.

I think people look at Holmgren and believe because he is older, that he doesnt coach with any fire. When in fact people have commented for years about how much 'tude he displays not only in practices, but in games too. We need somebody to ride these players more, and Holmgren has shown over the years that he will demand results.

He coaches a disciplined brand of football, and he is an outstanding offensive mind and developer of QB's. If he truly wants to be a HC again, he is not a bad hire at all.

Holmgren doesn't do anything for me.

In reality, Payton(I give it a 1.9% chance of happening) is the only coach that would get me wet.

Just say no to the fat fossil. I don't want someone who can "work with" Jerry. I want someone who will tell Jerry that he will be a silent partner and have no control or input regarding the football side of the business. That ain't walrus boy.

As much as I want Payton, Cowher seems like the only guy out there with that kind of clout.

I have no idea why you're so negative on Holmgren. He's pretty much a badass. He's no softie who will take orders from Jerry.

And he's younger than Coughlin.

I can't fathom any other team that would hire him at his age. A guy who owes Jerry for his job isn't likely to tell him to fuck off when need be. And if his tenure in Cleveland is any indication, he wouldn't be able to help with talent acquisition.
