idk maybe it's because our pass defense is pretty fucking good?

We keep seeing these QBs....outside of Cutler noone has had a real strong day against us...and we're like man Freeman/Cam are just awful. Well just maybe they look awful because we're making them look awful?

I gotta say that you make a good point here. Clearly the passing defense is much improved.

I hope they hold up well against Eli, again.

At least we're not the Patriots

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8536374/the-patriots-flawed-other-week-7-news

For whatever reason, the Patriots simply haven't been able to reliably draft and develop young talent on defense over the past five years, especially with regard to stopping the pass. Since 2007, the Patriots have spent seven first- or second-round picks on defensive backs. When you get down to it, none have panned out. Three aren't even with the team

Bellichick is nothing without Crennel, Bruschi, Harrison and Law. if he tries to coach someday without Brady get ready to see the legacy absolutely fall apart.

Can someone tell me why dez is getting up and barking 44 seconds into the game? I could see emotions running high in a back and forth with like deangelo hall. But who wronged him so bad that early when he wasn't even on the field yet? Hate to see what would happen if he ever had to go against cortland finnegan

He got mad because the Carolina guy head butted him (well after the play) and then he jabbed back, and the ref flagged Bryant for what he did. But when they showed the replay its very clear that the Carolina guy head butted him.

I think somebody like Michael Irvin needs to sit down and talk to Bryant (ongoing too) about stuff like this. Bryant has to realize that the refs arnt going to give him the calls. For whatever reason he isnt getting the calls for illegal contact/holding/PI and its clearly frustrating him. I think he let his emotions get the betetr of him yesterday a little.

Probably so. Many times he even ducks away from defenders that aren't there after he lets the ball go.

Yup. David Carr Syndrome.

It's hilarious when people call for Romo's head. We know that the GM and head coach are utter failures at this point. 95% of the fan base openly admits that. Then how exactly are we determining that Romo is a problem when he's surrounded by shitty personnel that's poorly coached? There's tons of evidence now that shows Garrett is a shitty former 3rd string QB who doesn't know how to gameplan, adjust, or manage a clock, but we're perfectly ok with saying he's using Romo 100% efficiently? Pass protection has been atrocious. One guy will play well for a stretch, but others will crumble, and then the cycle repeats to the point that there is no way of predicting who is going to fuck up and miss their blocking assignment. It's like musical chairs.

Ratings for Dallas games continue to slide, but for some reason, our most retarded fans continue to actively follow the team.

lol

Freeman and Newman were regressing before we ever played them. Credit to our D for not breaking them out of a slump (New Orleans' D already owns that role), but it's surely not earth-shattering news that they played like shit.

Freeman posted a 45 QBR against us - his lowest of the season. His next lowest came against NY with a 77 and WSH with an 83. His other three games have been 90+, two of them 110+.

Newton posted a 73 rating against us. His only lower outputs were against New York and Seattle. He has posted two games with 110+ ratings and another 83.

Our pass defense, in terms of yards per game, is third in the league. Only SF and PIT are better. Funny, Pitt's D is also regarded as suspect, because neither of us are getting INTs. We have 2, while allowing 7 passing TDs, they have 3 while allowing 10 passing TDs.

Our completion pct is top third, but YPA is pretty bad.

I wonder how much we'd improve playing halfway decent on offense, but then again I saw what happened against Baltimore.

We are 10th in the nfl in yards. So that thought doesn't make that much sense.

I don't think at least

QBR is primitive bullshit.

All advanced metrics had Freeman and Newton in the bottom 1/3 of the league through week 6. They are shitty QBs.

Our D is playing well, and certainly not high on the list of major problems, but if you tried to roll into any respectable sports bar and argue that the D "shut down Josh Freeman, so they're teh best!!!" you'd promptly get punched in the face and called a huge fag.

Newton is being compared to Vince Young right now, so you don't wanna go out and brag about that impressive defensive feat either. Put down the anointing oil, son.

Our D blows. Rob Ryan is a fat loser.

Twice on 3rd and long that douche sends 3 and the panthers have the 3rd down converted, only to fail due to dropped passes.

Granted, our D played well yesterday. I'll save any props until they do it vs a real QB

I am not a fan of the 3 man rush, but it was effective Sunday. It allowed Lee to make a play on the ball. The other was on the sideline which was a tough pass and catch. I would prefer the edge rushers on the 3 man rush to stay in front of the QB instead of running right around him creating easy passing lanes.
