Cowboys announced they have signed LeQuan Lewis CB Arizona St to 53 man roster today. Lewis has a nice shot to be a core special teams guy.

The Jets elected not to do that. They instead removed him from the practice squad where he was signed to our active roster.

Yes that is usually the case, teams can add a player to the active roster from another team's PS. This isn't what happened here. They released him yesterday in order to sign Ricky Sapp. We signed him today.

Rosters have stayed at 53, but the active gameday roster changed from 45 to 46. The difference is, teams don't carry the exemption on gameday with an emergency third quarterback. Before it was the 3rd QB plus 45. Now it's just 46.

If we're going to trade a corner to Atlanta for Konz, I'll shit rainbows and sparkles.
