Zoners: This is why Jerry will never change

Jerry will do his thang so long as the team continues to profit well. He can get away with it and he's delusional enough to think the fans are loving it based off the franchise's increasing value.

He's already proven that he's selfish enough to put his ego over the good of the team (see: Johnson, Jimmy), and he's also proven that he knows exactly what it takes to build a winner (see: Parcells, Bill).

He got his stadium. He's a businessman first. They just played the Alabama game there, and they attract multiple events every weekend now. He has moved onto bigger challenges. The Cowboys are like his pet project, but he's got fans who are dumb enough to buy into Costa as a center, and all the other bullshit and drink all of his kool-aid in. Enjoy it.

Guys like crazy cowboy, cowboy joe, hostile and couchscout personify the make up of this fanbase.

Don't protect your 7 members so dearly. There are a couple here who easily can be looped in with this group.

Parcells was great in NY and NE. And boy that 2003 pre-mid November was fun.

Other than that?

Bag of dicks.

We should tank the year, go 0-16, make Jerry lose money and maybe he'll file bankruptcy and they'll have to blow up the death star. Maybe then we can get a GM.

I theorize that we enlist dbair to take a little trip to meet his hero Jerry. Unbeknownst to him, he'll be wired with C4 inserted up into his rectum with enough to blow up a city block.

or logic can set in? Jerry could finally see that his "GM career" outside of the Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells years has been disastrous and greatly impacted the product on the field.

Or we could try my idea?

You think he's going to get it if we go 0-16 and he loses money??

It doesn't... but I don't think losing for the past two decades has helped him...

OP posits, I guess, that Jerry just continues to be nuts because he's making money. If he starts losing money, do we really think he's going to give up control, or is it more likely he just is Jerry 2.0.

:confused He just accumulated 2 billion dollars via the Cowboys. Net worth, whatever.

Are you suggesting that if we've been like the Giants or Patriots that the Cowboys would be worth 4 billion?

I'm not sure you're understanding me...

We've been losing for almost 20 years. Same ole Jerruh.

OP says that the net worth of the team is now $2 b, so it justifies Jerruh being same ole Jerruh.

I would assume OP means that if Jerruh were to lose money, then it would make him change. I don't think that would solve it.
