No reason for name calling. Sorry about the formality. 2 cast offs from other teams.

San Francisco did a decent job with their Oline in one year right?

I just dont know why you are so happy with the decisions they made for the offensive line. It's literally laughable

No reason to be this stupid. Is every free agent that is not re-signed by their team a castoff? So is Carr a castoff? Livings was not a castoff. He was a free agent, and the Bengals had two first round draft picks and decided to use one for a younger and cheaper replacement for Livings.

So you are happy with the way we addressed the offensive line this off season.

Not entirely. I have no opinion on either Livings or Bernadeau at this moment because I never saw either one. I can only go by write-ups, and as of now both are/were having very good camps. I'm intrigued with Leary. Livings was having a good camp prior to his injury, and Bernadeau returning from injury is having a good camp. You cannot have ALL-Pros and household names at every position. You need some lunchpail typle players and the OG spot is where you want it.

I am happy with one particular move they made with the Oline this offseason: getting rid of Huock.

I agree with the lunch pail style and not having all pro's but our online was down right awful in 4 out of the 5 positions. It would have been nice to have ast least one player brought in with some above average type play.
I cannot judge Livings or Bernadeaux untilt the season starts, but they have to be considered very big "ifs" at this point

Jerry preached about the window closing but if we cannot protect our most valuable asset in Romo than what are we doing

I think the debate is foolish. The fact is the Cowboys paid peanuts to move up into a premium draft slot to select a guy their scouts rated as the #2 prospect in the draft, and it came at a position sorely needing upgrading. Ultimately the only debate over whether it was worth it will be a few seasons down the road, when we see what type of player Claiborne turns out to be. If he's a probowl calibar CB, the trade up was a coup.

We disagree on this and that's o.k.

For me, the Carr Claiborne acquisitions remind me of the guy who really wants a luxury car. The guy goes out and buys a great Mercedes. He pays market value. And it is a truly wonderful car (Carr).

Then a few days later, the same guy finds out he can get a decent deal on a Porsche (Claiborne). Actually, the Porsche is discounted slightly.

Now the guy doesn't really need another luxury car, but he REALLY likes it. ... it's an rkc (right kind of car). So although he could get by just fine with a Corolla as a second car, he buys a second luxury car.

A Porsche is more desirable than a Corolla. No doubt about it.

In the meantime, the guy doesn't have enough resources left to fix the cracked foundation of his house. He gathers a few of his drinking buddies to apply some bubble gum and band-aids to try to rig his foundation so it won't crack even more. He doesn't have enough money left to actually fix the foundation.

He's got a very nice Mercedes and a very nice Porsche in his driveway though. And he didn't overpay for the Porsche.
