Radio guys were saying this morning that Witten has a really short fuse this year. It's 10 years now so his football mortality is pretty much staring him in the face.

I'd like to think that this has more to do with Church playing really well than Pool playing poorly. (but obviously Pool didn't play well)

There are a couple of ways to look at Pool getting cut.

On the downside, the Cowboys apparently misjudged Pool ... thinking he might plug a hole when he couldn't/didn't.

But on the upside, at least the Cowboys cut their ties with him quickly once he was found lacking.

Normally dont hear much from a coach when he is cut unless he is a Ryan.

Pool must have just been dreadful.

So did CHurch actually win the job outright or did he win it by default
