Anyhow every player/coach, etc in the league believes right now that they are going to win every game. And they're fine with that expectations. Hand-wringing fans "how could he say that" need to get the fuck over it.

again not to mention, he was repeatedly asked about the window. All he was saying is I dont know but before I am done I want a title.

I have heard those guys in atlanta, tony gonzalez talk about wanting a title repeatedly for years, that is all elway ever talked about and marino........

there is a big difference from talking about wanting to win a title and making sure to point out that he constantly said that is why we are extra focused and putting in all this work.......from orlando scandrick saying we are going to win the superbowl or whatever.....

yeah some of these zonerish types would just prefer if, when asked a direct question about whether they might win a single game this year, our players just responded with a "no comment, I am focused on film session this afternoon."

Yep, which is my point... Instead the narrative seems to be that we were so close to the playoffs and this year a full offseason etc is going to put us up there with the best teams in the league.

I actually think we can be one of those teams, but I wish the players would cut that talk off at the knees and say, look, we had some of the worst collapses in history last year and we didn't even finish above .500, so we know we need to play our best to play with the defending champs Week One.

And dbair, are the Titans talking about winning a Superbowl? Doubt it. And they were actually a winning team last year.

I agree, but if the epic collapses last season did not teach these guys to have some humility and a "take it game by game" attitude, then I'm pretty sure that nothing will.

Unless the players also realize that Garrett was the root of the problem...
