Then they beat a 13-3 Patriots team.

You can rant about how they were bad on stopping opponents on third down, or how they had a negative point differential during teh season, or whatever.

and despite the awesomeness that boneheads like you say the Giants displayed as one of the alltime great teams, they were a missed sideline pass away from not even making the playoffs and a 8-8 record

We are closer to 11-5 this year than 8-8 I believe. Superbowl or not, we were 2 missed filed goals last year being 10 and 6 and a punt block away from 11-5.
