Ok, if you were creating your own taco line, would you name it:
A.) The Houk!
or
B.) The Bill .30 Cal
?
This is worse than when you were racist

I honestly think coaching is so overrated, especially Oline coaching.
Like Sparano caught a world of shit here for being the coach of torrin tucker and puttiti. He's a good coach but you can't make shit not shit.
Biggest thing of importance is that your position coach and coordinator are on the right page and they get the right players for their system and put them in the best position to excel. But they're not going to make anyone any better. Maybe Houck's philosophy didn't match up with JG's but that doesn't make him a bad coach, he just couldn't make the shit we were trotting out there any better.

I think talent has been a problem but I think we have failed most at asking players to do things they are not good at.
My biggest hope is that Callahan can help Garret to design game plans around the strength of the o-line instead of asking them to do things they are incapable of.
This is why the Giants have been so good at plugging in guys and still being productive,
The oline doesn't have any strength outside of a great LT in Smith and a decent/average/good enough RT in Free.
To me, unless Callahan and Garrett are going to ask the 3 shits on the inside not to show up naked, there's not much more to expect.
Did you gloss over what superpunk wrote? OT is really the only position that needs to be elite on the Oline.
I'm not even going to edit that.
I got u buddy.
And I'm totally assuming that Smith is going to build on his work from last year and ease into the LT change. There's no guarantee there.
Okay. Am I not in agreement with that or something?
Thw middle has to be at least capable. Something Costa has shown he's not, and these other two more than likely are more of the same.
You guys telling me we wasted years of resources paying Larry Allen when we could have gotten Trent Dilfer?
Idk, just seems like your perception of what should be doesn't match with the reality of it. No matter how many times it's been pointed out.
Can a guy like Callahan maximize solid out of Mack and Livings? Probably.
Houk was clearly past his prime.
Not sure Dilfer could play guard.
Honest question outside of a few squads with elite units is there any team really different? One or two good players then some scrubs who can hold their own with the right coaching/system?
srs question.
