@BryanBroaddus
Ten minutes into practice and WR David Little already throwing up. Not good when they bring you in as a workout guy.

@BryanBroaddus
Watching Eddie Whitley S Va Tech. Had relaxed pedal and quick but played a hair late defending the ball. Will see if that carries over here.

@nickeatman
As expected, CB Mario Butler is the best looking corner on field especially with Mo Claiborne out with a wrist injury. Butler looks quicker

@nickeatman
Watching first practice of 2012 .Trying to gauge these rookies ..No one really stands out in shorts and helmets just yet .I'll keep looking

@calvinwatkins
Terence Newman's jersey number 41 belongs to Troy Woolfolk.

@BryanBroaddus
James Hanna is athletic going up the field. I like Andrew Szczerba as well. Has more quickness than George Bryan at tight end.

@jmw1532 Woolfork has been just doing drills but you can see that he will struggle to pedal. Not as quick as others. Tends to play that way.

Broaddus asked if Hanna would be better than MartyB:
@BryanBroaddus
@taddmike When Hanna was on the move he was better. Think that is how they will find a way to use him.

@TrueBlueIII
@BryanBroaddus Szczerba is blocking TE with some athleticism?

@BryanBroaddus
@TrueBlueIII I wouldnt call him a blocking TE. He fits and tries to finish. Stays with man not real powerful at the point.

I mentioned some guys but forgot to mention Mario Butler. These WRs dont have an answer for him this morning.
Know he has been with the program already but he looks so comfortable out there.

@nickeatman
Those concerns about james Hanna's hands are legit... Dropped a few passes that would be nice grabs but still catchable

@DCStarJEllis
Back to back rookie minicamp interceptions for undrafted free agents Troy Woolfolk and Lionel Smith

@calvinwatkins
Troy Woolfolk with an INT and Rob Ryan yelling "yea we got one!!!!!"

@BryanBroaddus
Been having trouble with the QB exchange because the starting center Chris Thompson is struggling with the heat. Harland Gunn filling in.

Cowboys DC Rob Ryan on his defense this year: "We're gonna be damn good." Also, he's trying not to say anything crazy...

i feel for those guys that are from cooler climates today..

its like 88 with what feels like 100% humidity...throw in they are probably nervous and intimidated...

I would be puking my brains out.

First look at fifth-round WR Danny Coale. Let's stop the Welker comparisons for a lot of reasons, but this kid has more size to begin with.

not afraid until he proves he can get under center and run shannahans offense while getting hit the amount that the skins qbs have been getting hit.

If he can take a pounding and play at a high level then I will be worried, until then he has alot of work to do. He has never faced anything like the 6 games he is going to have to deal with in this division, getting hit by ware, paul, tuck is nothing to just blow off.

I was being sarcastic. History tells us there's a good chance him or Luck will be a bust. For our sake, I hope it's him.

i Know.

but i think he is going to be good and shannahan is good with quarterbacks.

he just seems awful frail for a guy who wants to run around and be vick or whatever. this division's pass rushers are pretty ruthless.

So if he gets up after a few beatings this year then I am pretty sure we will all know its game on.

if he turned out to be a bust it would probably take 2 or 3 years to realize and shannahan would be done anyway.

they would be right back to the spurrier days.

Put an early check mark next to Wilber's name. No question he can run but can be hold up strength wise at Sam. Has has 2 good practices.

Johnson has been playing a good centerfield. No bad mistakes or busts.

Player that has shown cover ability and quickness has been Isaac Madison CB Arkansas. Has been impressive playing routes.

and shannahan is good with quarterbacks.

This is such a crock. Elway was already a HOFer before Shanahan showed up as head coach. And even then, it took Terrell Davis to get that team over the top, while Elways stats went down since he finally had a running game. And even when he was QB coach under Reeves, it's awfully nice to be handed a once in a generation talent like Elway. But who else has he had all this success with? Plummer? Had a decent couple years under Shanahan. But again, was already pretty much what he was. Cutler? What exactly did he do with him? Cutler was a high pick. So he had the pedigree coming in. And left with a 17-20 record. Where was the success story when he was with the Raiders? Elvis Grbac? Please. And he sure has done wonders with those scrubs in Washington.

I guess what I'm saying is, where are these QBs that people think he performed the Midas touch on? The guys nobody saw coming until after Shanahan had worked his magic.

He was elways coordinator from early on, he was steve youngs coordinator during the years that got young into the hall.

He is a great play caller, he is a great coordinator.

if you dont like him thats fine, but to think he is not one of the better offensive minds in the league is completely naive.

Now his son, hasnt shown anything to me and if he is the one calling plays that could change things.

but its hard to bet against shannahan getting the most out of griffin.

No, I actually liked Shanahan as a HC. But to think he's some kind of QB guru is false. Elway and Young. Yeah... There's a couple guys that could have developed with Crazy Cowboy as their coordinator.

Nice to see Mario Butler is doing well. Talk to me when he makes the 53 man roster.
