Decastro backers look like fools

well I am pretty certain its too soon to say this about anyone.

if the steelers are winning there division late in the year and he is blowing open huge holes for there backs I am fairly sure no one is going to give a shit when he was drafted or what what stephen jones thought of him.

He didn't do that in college. Why would he do it in the pros?

I mean, this is a guy that benched the bar 36 times. So it's not anything a NFL strength and conditioning program will do for him. Like Mb4 said, he's maxed out, averaged out really, physically.

I like how some are assuming our player ratings are always accurate.

We had a 4th round grade on Skyler Green, Isaiah Stanbeck, Akwasi Owusu Ansah, etc. We graded Felix Jones higher than Mendenall and Chris Johnson. We've improved with 1st and 2nd round picks but we continue to struggle in the midrounds.

Just because WE had the higher grade on a player doesn't guarantee they are the better player. This staff has done very little, personnel wise, to get the benefit of the doubt and the suddenly homer Bob's automatic seal of approval.

i disagree they nailed the michael hamlin pick.

Stephen and ciskowski told all of us what a bright future he had and how he will play in the nickel sets right away.

This isn't what anyone is saying.

Decastro went 24th..it means nobody wanted him top 20..let alone top 15..has nothing to do w our board being accurate or not.

We had a Top 15 grade on Sean Lee and we got him with with the 55th pick. So by your logic, no one else wanted Sean Lee in the top 54.

You do realize this adds to argument that are scouts rate players pretty well. :awkward

Yes, I said earlier we've been better lately in the first 2 rounds.

GloryDays said that since DeCastro was not drafted in the Top 20 that no one had a a Top 20 grade on him. Which is not necessarily true. Teams grade players very differently. We had a Top 15 grade on Sean Lee and we got him much later. DeCastro could have been Top 20 on several teams boards. Supposedly, when he was available in the 20's, we tried to jump back up and grab him, willing to risk at least 2 more picks to make the move. Looks like it's possible we thought pretty highly of him.
