Broaddus notes on Lunch Break

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wilbur look like he's going to need to add weight and muscle to his frame before he's ready to really compete at SOLB. He played a lot of weakside at Wake Forrest, and it's going to be a different game playing strongside in the NFL.

Put in game tape of Matt Johnson play against the University of Washington and him cover slot WRs and TEs in man. If I saw that from Mark Barron on film I wouldn't have had a problem with him at #14.

I'm predicting Caleb McSurdy will lead the team in special teams tackles next year.

I was told "stay tuned" on runningback. I don't think they're done there.

Ronnell Lewis had academic issues at OU, which might suggest a learning issue. The Cowboys brought him in for a personal visit and did their due diligence. For them to pass on him makes you wonder how he did retaining information on the white board during his visit.

They had a 6th round grade on Ta'amu. Ta'amu and his teammates got their defensive coordinator fired at UW. The Cowboys just don't like big fat sloppy nosetackles, and they dont think DE is Ratliff's best position. They like Lissemore backing up Ratliff and still have hopes for Brent.

Scandrick's problem is he overthinks the game a lot. He's the type of guy who's always worried about what the left cornerback is doing and what the drop back linebacker is doing. He just needs to focus on what he's doing and quit thinking so much and play football. I do think he could play safety if maybe the decide to move one of those CBs around.

Of the UDFA's I've reviewed, watch out for the OT from Notre Dame Taylor Dever. He's much, much better than Sam Young. Really strong guy with good balance. I think he's going to be one of the 10 OL they keep. The CB from Texas A&M Lionel Smith has a chance to make the team. I need to look into what Leary's medical issue is. I think Aston Whiteside has a chance as a SOLB. Adrian Hamilton has really, really good technique.

Nu-uh.

Hostile Emailed his Cowboys contacts and let them know about character concerns that they were not already aware of. They Emailed him back saying "OMG u were rite! Thanks Brentwood Apartment Manager! We owe u!"

Now... does Broaddus want to make a $100 wager on it?

Havent heard yet on the RB. I cant imagine its a real high priority right now, but there are quite a few quality free agents out there who could probably be had for cheap.

Going to need a RB sometime soon

It's going to be quite annoying if Murray gets hurt again this year

Had high hopes for Anthony Thomas back then.

Regarding available RBs... give me Tim Hightower.
