Why have the Giants had such dominance over us recently?

Better organization from top to bottom.

And, what makes anyone believe we can beat them when it counts the most?

As of right now I have to say no.

A combination of their deep d-line and our porous secondary. Also, guys like Brandon Jacobs have intimidated them a little bit.

We have had a lousy defense. Go back and watch the games. Nearly every one looks the same. We score they score, they get a stop, theY score...

And in each game they have made some sort of big play on special teams. Blocked fg, punt return for Td.

But to me it is all about our defense, in 07 and 08 when we beat them it was because our defense pushed them around.

Hasn't happened since then. The game in 10 we got lucky Eli manning threw the ball right to mcann and they caught a ticky tack holding and took a Td away from them or we would have lost that one too.

echo theebs. They've also done a tremendous job of getting to our QB. Witness the '07 divisional game and last year. Specifically wk. 17.

I think the biggest thing is that they can turn it on and off like a switch while we can't. We're either mired in mediocrity or just good enough and can never rise above.

2007 we beat them twice. 3rd time Crayton dropped a pass and our o line looked like swiss cheese in the playoffs
2008 we split
2009 we lost twice to them, they didn't make playoffs and we did, they went 8 and 8 for anyone that cares.
2010 we lost twice to them, we were actually about to win the first meeting, but then one of their line backers broke Tony's collar bone and our D never actually showed up again that day.
2011 we lost to them twice, once because Garrett iced his own kicker and the next time because Newman was being hurdled by everyone on their team.

I'd say they've kicked our asses the last three years due to a freak injury to our starting QB and and our D getting old in the back field. But that wouldn't fit in the whole, cause Jerry sucks ass and monkey nuts with a side of ball sauce and cheese please agenda that permeates every pore of everyone on this board.

Go back and look at their last 4 or 5 drafts, and get back to me on all the "hits" they have in the draft.

.

The iced kicker game was against Arizona.

We had the Giants beaten the first game last season, we were up by double digits with 4 minutes or so left. The defense blew the game. Even as bad as the defense was, if Austin doesnt lose that ball in the lights (or whatever) then the game's over.

We also lost DeMarco Murray early in that game. Jones had a very good game, but I think had Murray played the entire game the result might have changed as well.

anemic pass rush aside, there are glimmers of hope
