This should be interesting, especially for the people that slammed everything we did the past 3 days.

You make the picks. Pick guys that were available in the draft slots we ended up having. You can either assume the same trade up (and pick someone else available at #6, or pick Claiborne) or you can assume we never traded up and kept the 14th and 45th picks. In either scenario though, you can only pick guys who were available in those slots.

Then explain selections.

Mine:

1) Claiborne: Loved the move up for the drafts best defensive player. Instant major upgrade to our secondary. With Carr in the fold, Jenkins and Scandrick around this should give Ryan tons of flexibility in terms of how often, and how he designs blitzes.

3) I had Crawford in my final mock here, will leave him. Liked his potential as the 5T and for this yr, should be a rotational guy who can really help in nickel/dime pass rush.

4a) Kyle Wilbur: He was rated a solid middle round (some had in 3rd) OLB prospect. Probably becomes 3rd OLB this yr and assuming he develops, will be Spencer's replacement in 2013.

4b) Josh Chapman, DT Alabama: Since I had no idea who Matt Johnson is, I would have went with this guy to fortify the DL more. He went 1 pick later.

5) Trent Robinson FS Michian St- didnt know much about Coale but do like the pick after seeing his clips and reading up on him. But since I assumed we hadnt taken Johnson in 4, I get my FS here.

6) James Hanna- had him on my watch list in the potential Cowboy pick thread. Pick makes sense, he was a need and he has some nice athletic traits.

7) David Molk C Michigan: Dont know if Callahan and Garrett saw him as a fit for the OL or not, if not maybe I would pluck in the Leary kid we ended up signing as a UDFA

Just for shits and giggles, it's Wilber, not Wilbur the pig.

It's bad enough Cowboy fans couldn't get Colombo's name right for years.

Okay, I feel better, carry on.

Instead of trading up for Claiborn, I would've traded down as much as possible so I could get as many late round white, team captains who are the right kind of guys as possible.
