Has anyone here at DCU bought a jersey of a current player on the team this year? Usually there is excitement from a draft pick or some player with potential for the future, that you want to buy a jersey of that player. This is the first year in a long time that I just can't see anyone that exciting on the team.

Byron Jones? Nope
Randy Gregory? Not yet.

Are there any younger players that have any real excitement for the future (so that you would want a jersey to wear for years)?

How dark is this year?

I don't buy jerseys anymore for two reasons:

1. I think I jinx players. I bought an Emmitt jersey years ago, the next year he was a Cardinal. I bought a RW31 jersey after he tore it up in the league for two or three years, the next year Santana Moss ate his lunch twice on MNF and he was a shell of himself and a huge liability in coverage the rest of his career. I bought a Tony Romo jersey prior to the 2008 season, enough said. I jinx players.

2. Fuck putting more money in Jerrys wallet.


But if I were to buy a jersey for a newer player, I might actually get the bland boring offensive lineman La'el Collins. Kid is Larry Allen good.

If I was going to buy one, I'd buy a Byron Jones jersey.

Hes going to be a hell of a football player for a long time.

I don't buy jerseys tho.
