You can see who was calling the shots here back when Johnson was here. Video of him calling draft picks and other GMs during the draft. Jerry did help the trade out by paying Herschel an exit bonus, but if anyone still thinks he had any say over personnel when Jimmy was here, this clip should end that notion.
