I'm okay with the idea.
I've said all off season I don't think Crayton really has a role on the team if he's not a #3receiver.
wouldnt mind any kind of draft pick for crayton or hurd dont need em

I was for it a few months ago, but now I'm not liking the idea at all. Unless you get a player that can step in and make a difference, you're doing nothing to help your team this year.
Exactly. What player out there can they and will they get that will contribute as much as Crayton?
We added Dez Bryant.
No way would we be weaker on offense without Crayton.
I should have been more clear. Looking at our depth chart today at WR, cutting or trading Crayton makes us much weaker.
I'd like to have as many weapons as possible. I'd be willing to bet Romo would be pissed if it was Crayton leaving instead of Williams. Why not keep Crayton, who is obviously our 3rd WR, assuming Dez is as good as advertised?
Edit:
This isn't a rip Roy dig either. The dude scored 7 times last year. He needs to be better in a lot of areas, but who's knows if he gets better?
Austin/Bryant/Crayton > Austin/Bryant/Williams
Until Williams and Romo start clicking.
You're not going to get back a quality player at another position. So I don't see how this helps you this year if you intend to compete.
It'll be a late round pick. No thank you. I'd rather have quality depth there for a season.
~fist bump~
It would be a weakening move, imo. Crayton is steady Eddie out there. You know Romo doesn't want to see him go. Crayton has made a lot of big first downs over the years, not fast, but smooth as hell.
I swear, we'll be needing to convert a 3rd and 11, I completely forget about Crayton and he's there to save the day. He finds holes in the defense and is fluid.
Trade him and you are weaker on offense.

I have to disagrtee with you Midswat. I think of Crayton as the "dagger in the boot".
