Basic concept. If there's a player you like in college or think would be a great player here, post it in this thread. Tell the board something about the player, especially if he's a lesser known college player.

Some guidelines:
  • 1 player per post. This isn't a list of eighteen players you like (Bob).
  • Feel free to comment on someone else's player (like him, don't like him) but don't do a profile post on a player someone else has already done.
  • Why should this player be a Cowboy? Where/how does he fit in?

I will tell you up front I might delete some dumb or off-topic posts (I will PM you and the Admins explaining why if it comes to that) but other than that, these player posts stay up. So many of you like to rub it in other posters' faces if they miss on a guy (cough, cough.. me and Taylor Mays), so let's see if you will prop up your own player. Down the road we can see who nailed it and who missed badly. So in my case, there would be posts from me in 2009 telling you how great Taylor will be in the NFL. Midswat might have had a Tyler Wilson one from last year.

*send me a PM at cmd34 or cmd34(work) if you have any suggestions for this thread. I expect some good info, a lot of posters here know their draft stuff.

Feel free to choose players that are not draft eligible the next draft, just include when they are draft eligible.

For example, University of Georgia RB Todd Gurley, 6'1", 232 lbs draft eligible 2015

Haha Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama 6'1" 209lbs

Very good in pass coverage as a deep defender and roving free safety. Just what we need here in a FS. He'll be able to handle the big receivers in the NFL. Good size and speed. He's #6 in this youtube video

He's definitely a late round/UDFA guy IMO but every time I watch a Georgia game, he's making clutch catches for the Bulldogs. He probably won't come out early either so he's most likely a 2015 target. He'd be the third "Michael Bennett" in recent history to play in the NFL.

I see him as a good-sized, third WR type, reliable target for Romo. He runs excellent routes and has a Wes Welker-type ability to constantly find the soft spots in zone coverage.

A tackling machine and one of the few bright spots for the Cougars. Mid-round draft prospect probably won't be on the Cowboys radar with recent investments in Barry Church (contract), Matt Johnson (2012 4th rounder), and JJ Wilcox (2013 3rd rounder). Still, he's the kind of player you don't want to pass up. He plays with intensity, has good range, and is a textbook tackler.

*He had 14 tackles last week vs Auburn.

Pretty sure you can put us down for multiple DL and OL in April.

QB may be in the mix too.
