I well remember the '74 game against the redskins when Clint Longley was in, and doing well, Roger woke up from his daze and wanted to go back in and Tom just gave him a dirty look.

That was the first Cowboys game I ever saw my did give up on, and also the first time I was ever able to talk him into sticking with something on the TV he wanted to change. I just had a feeling that day, that this totally unheard of "mad bomber" from West Texas was going to make magic.

This is why you don't pull a backup QB who is doing well. First of all he throws off the defensive game plan totally, (Note how they stopped blitzing when Weeden came in) secondly they have no book on him, don't really know his tendencies and MOST importantly it's like Blaine Nye said after the Longley game, "We just witnessed the triumph of the uncluttered mind."

It still chaps my ass they pulled Weeden last week.
