Michael Irvin done chasing Jerry Rice

Michael Irvin was on a pair of crutches at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction as a result of tearing his left Achilles' tendon last week.
But Irvin would not miss seeing Emmitt Smith entering the Hall of Fame.
"I told Jerry Rice I'm done chasing you," Irvin said, speaking symbolically. "This happened playing flag football after Jerry Rice went deep on me. I've been chasing him all my life. There's no way I will or anybody else will ever catch Jerry Rice, so I'm done with it."
