1 (4) Jared Goff QB 6-4/215 Cal
There's been a lot of talk of the Cowboys not taking a QB at #4 but if you go back to season's end, Stephen Jones said that addressing the back-up QB spot was the priority. At age 21, Goff has plenty of time to continue to develop, but is also talented enough to move the offense if he's pressed into immediate action. The first round selection buys the Cowboys 5 years with Goff. Ideally, Goff steps in when Romo retires and inherits an All-Pro offensive line in their prime.
2 (34) Kendall Fuller CB 5-11/187 Virginia Tech
I really wanted William Jackson from Houston but missed him by a few spots (CBS Sports rankings). Kendall is the 4th Fuller brother to make it to the NFL. He will come in and push for a starting CB spot and possibly allow the team to move on from the veterans they have been financially handcuffed to the past few seasons.
3 (67) Braxton Miller WR 6-1/201 Ohio State
One of my favorite 2016 prospects, I'd be ecstatic if Miller makes it to pick 67. He's the wrinkle this offense needs, turning small passes into big plays. He'll also help out in the return game.
4a (101) Bronson Kaufusi DE 6-6/285 Brigham Young
Kaufusi is big and strong enough to play tackle but athletic enough to play end. His career at BYU included time at OLB and on the Cougars basketball team.
4b (135) Keith Marshall RB 5-11/219 Georgia
No one puts Gambler Jerry in the corner. Marshall is a former 5-star recruit who shared carries with Bulldogs Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb when he wasn't injured. His impressive Combine performance (4.31 40-time, 25 reps in bench press) reminded us all what a special athlete he can be.
6a (189) Denver Kirkland G 6-4/335 Arkansas
Great value in the 6th round. Kirkland started over 30 games for Bret Bielema's Hogs. He should provide depth at both guard spots and right tackle.
6b (212) Keanu Neal S 6-0/211 Florida
No way would I think Neal lasts this long but CBS Sports has him currently ranked as the 229th overall prospect. Neal is an ideal strong safety; he's a willing hitter and athletic (38 inch vertical, 132 inch broad jump)enough to cover TE's.
6c (216) KeiVarae Russell CB 5-11/192 Notre Dame
Another guy who seems to be low on a lot of draft boards, Russell was a 3-year starter (missed all of 2014 for disciplinary reasons) for the Irish. Russell will compete with Terrance Mitchell, Deji Olatoye, and Josh Thomas for a reserve job.
6d (217) Lawrence Thomas DL 6-3/286 Michigan State
Feels like a Marinelli-type d-lineman. Played 47 games for the Spartans, starting the last 27 consecutive games at DT and DE (even 3 at Fullback).
