Falcons lineman suspended one game

Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux will be suspended one game for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Babineaux recently pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana. He was originally charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, but that was reduced.
In addition to the one-game suspension, Babineaux will have an extra game check taken from him. Babineaux and a friend were arrested after a traffic stop last December.
The Falcons head to Pittsburgh for the season opener, so Babineaux's absence should make it easier for the Steelers to make good on all that "re-establishing the running game" mumbo jumbo.
