Tuesday was high adventure beyond compare, with six of the NFL's top players -- Logan Mankins, Michael Vick, David Harris, Vincent Jackson, Haloti Ngata and Peyton Manning -- being given the designation (technically, the report on Mankins came on Monday), and one (David Akers) getting the transition tag.

But by no means is that all we expect prior to the deadline on Feb. 23. Let's run through what's been reported, and who we see as logical possibilities:

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be placing the tag on LaMarr Woodley at some time, according to two of our reporters. Continuing on in the AFC North, the Cincinnati Bengals have a choice between cornerback Johnathan Joseph and running back Cedric Benson. In the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings have not decided whether they'll use the tag, but if they do, it'd likely be LB Chad Greenway or wide receiver Sidney Rice.

Down South, the only NFC squad that appears poised to use the tag is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who may use it on LB Barrett Ruud. There was some buzz earlier this offseason that the Tennessee Titans would tag defensive end Jason Babin, but this has died down since.

Tamba Hali of the Kansas City Chiefs is almost certain to get the tag, while the Oakland Raiders have their pick between Richard Seymour and Zach Miller. As with the Eagles, the Raiders may elect to use their transition tag as well. The discussion rages on whether the San Francisco 49ers should tag Aubrayo Franklin again, though it seems as though the team would prefer a long-term deal (and Franklin probably would, too).

Back East, the Washington Redskins are pondering a long-term deal for Santana Moss, while the Dallas Cowboys do not appear to be in the tagging mood regarding Doug Free. There's been some thought that the Buffalo Bills could tag Paul Posluszny, but nothing close to a report.
