Dez Bryant, his right foot encased in a walking boot, stood next to receivers coach Ray Sherman throughout the afternoon practice, observing plays he can no longer run because of a high ankle sprain.
Bryant fielded a few questions from reporters on his brief walk back to the locker room once practice was over. The answers were brief as well. Away we go.
Q: Will you be back for the opener against Washington on Sept. 12?
A: "I should be.''
Q: How long will you be out? Four weeks?
A: "There's no telling. There's no telling.''
Q: Are you disappointed?
A: "There's no disappointment. I'm fine. I'm having a good time.''
Q: Is the ankle still sore?
A: "No. I feel great.''
