SEYMOUR, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 31-year-old Blount County man faces a criminal homicide charge after allegedly shooting a Seymour man who was banging on the door of his home on Chilhowee Loop Road, according to the Blount County Sheriff's Office.
The BCSO says Glen Scott Butler, 41, lived next door to Andrew James Shastid, 31.
Investigators say around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night, Butler went to Shastid's house and started to bang on the door. Shastid then shot Butler through the door, hitting him twice in the torso, according to a BCSO release.
Deputies say the motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
Shastid is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Blount County Detention Facility.
