Award-winning ESPN reporter Mortensen dies

Chris Mortensen, an award-winning journalist who reported on the NFL for ESPN for more than three decades, died Sunday morning at the age of 72.

RIP. He was required reading for nearly two decades in the 80's and 90's. I grew up reading his weekly NFL column with all sorts of rumors and news every Sunday in the AJC, then he moved to "The National" which was short-lived but a great sports paper in the late 80's/early 90's. Mort then went on to become the legend at ESPN and his stiff throughout the 90's and early 2000's was awesome.
