except for Garrett has been the coach virtually all of Romo's time as a starter..Switzer came in after Aikman had started for 5yrs, and had nothing to do with coaching the offense anyway

lol

Your revisionist history is so lame. Parcells and Payton made Romo. Payton went on to work wonders for Brees too.

McGee's evolution as a QB is a great reflection of Garrett's coaching ability. Shitty lifetime 3rd stringers groom other shitty lifetime 3rd stringers. Garrett failed as a QB coach in Miami so not sure why you homers think he magically learned now.

you do know Sean Payton wasnt the OC when Romo began starting in 2006 right?

there's no question he had a role in his development, but you are giving him too much credit in this case...

and Brees was already outstanding before Payton ever got a hold of him...no question he has gotten better, but Brees wasnt a scrub

romo never played a down under payton.

David Lee is the man romo credited as the most important during that time.

Biography: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior with totals of 31/338/4. Junior numbers included 26/240/5.

Positives: "Adequately sized tight end who does the little things well. Quick releasing off the line of scrimmage, consistently finds the open spot in the defense, and extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame. Lays out for difficult catches, boxes out opponents with his frame, and adjusts to make the errant reception. Displays soft and strong hands. Blocks with leverage, remains disciplined, and shows awareness. Works hard to stays square."

Negatives: Does not always play to his timed speed. Lacks dominant strength.

Analysis: "Cochart has been reliable the past three seasons but minimally productive. He could easily make an NFL roster as a backup move tight end, and his blocking should improve as he physically matures."

Projection: FA
