I guess today must have been a deadline to exercise the 5th yr option on 2012 draftees. ESPN crawl just showed a bunch of them that the 5th yr option got declined on.

I saw that too. I think the guy was trying to virtue signal the CZ mods that he has his mind right. That second round pick still has me steamed though I knew something like that was going to happen. Jerry cannot change his ways.

Don't assume Charles Tapper is the most likely candidate to start at defensive end when the team opens the season without DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory.

Third-round pick Maliek Collins is in the mix to start those first four games. If the Nebraska defensive tackle shows an ability to rush the quarterback during training camp and preseason, it gives the Cowboys the option to start him inside at the 3-technique and move Tyrone Crawford to either left or right defensive end.

Hey David Moore, if Lawrence is suspended that's two DE's we're missing. So while Maliek Collins might go to DT and Crawford to DE, there's still another DE spot that needs to be filled.

Prescott was doomed as soon as prospect profile websites started adding Tebow as the pro comparison. Prescott runs physical and plays for the same coach as Tebow did so the comparison was easy and lazy.

Prescott isn't the best pure passer in this draft, he's not even close, but when I watch him play I see a much better overall QB than Tebow was.

I like Prescott as a project QB to sit behind Romo and develop. I'd take him in the 4th round.
