You believe that, eh?

Okay. Then Dez Bryant is one of the biggest idiots ever to enter an NFL camp.

But I don't think he is. He knew and he thought he was above it.

your calling him a lier? lol

your just a hater and its showing

How did he not create both situations?

I'd say media sensationalism had more to do with it than anything.

Miami asked a legitimate question.

It wasn't a legitimate question.

If your mother is a hooker and I'm thinking of drafting you, I want to know about it. I want to know who you surround yourself with. What are those influences? Particularly when you're dealing with a guy currently suspended from finishing his college career.

This explanation might be worth a shat if it wasn't well known that teams (rightfully so) do thorough background checks on prospective players.

Jeff Ireland wasn't asking that question because he wasn't aware of Bryants family history. He asked that question because he was trying to get a re-action out of Dez. He was being an ass hole, plain and simple.

You can do and ask a lot of things . . . but you don't ask someone if their mother was a hooker.

That doesn't get to the media if Dez Bryant doesn't whine about it like a child. Then when people react to it, he plays victim.

Could you provide links to either quotes or video of him whining like a child?

Because to the best of my recollection, he was taken aback by all the media coverage each incident drew, and quickly stated how he wished it went away.

Quite a stark contrast to the player you're comparing him to (T.O.).

Yes.

Well, actually a liar. But still. Absolutely.

Wait. What did he say when he was asked if he had dinner with Deion Sanders?

No?

What was that?

Oh.

I knew that would be your excuse in why you thought he was a lier

I just don't think Bryant will ever be in the same zip code of Randy Moss in the NFL. A Larry Fitzgerald, yeah. One of the best in the game. But we're talking about the most gifted offensive player I've ever seen on a football field. The guy was huge, ran like a deer, elite hands, jumped like Jordan. He basically sleepwalked through his hall of fame career. He was that good.

I'd take Larry Fitzgerald over Randy Moss any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Even if what Midswat, a guy who thinks Jerry Jones is a good GM....need I say more?....., is true and Ireland only asked to see the reaction Dez would have, I still think it's a smart thing to do. He's going to hear worse on the football field on Sundays. If this guy is thin skinned, I want to know that too.

I don't believe that was his reasoning behind it, but even if it was I see no problem with it at all.

I know I wouldn't have had any problem with that question. I would have understood the situation, understood the intent of the guy asking, answered it and then moved on. The media wouldn't have known a thing about it.

That's what a man would do. What Dez did,....eh. Early warning sign, is all I'm saying.

And now we've sunk to the homer level here.

Got nothing, so start attacking the poster. The poster who has forgotten more about the game than you will ever know. The guy capable of being honest about his team's players and not tongue bathing everyone in the right colors.

Here's something balls on accurate you have to deal with - If Dez Bryant was a Redskin, you'd agree with every word I'm saying.

Jerry Jones is a good GM.

Check your calender . . . it's not 2002 anymore.

I don't believe that was his reasoning behind it,

Then you're naive.

Right now, probably.

In their prime? Laughable.

In their prime . . . I'd take Larry Fitzgerald over Randy Moss.

I had the same doubts you did but after all this cleared up and everyone has dropped it so have I...during the game the other night they talked about it and there were saying they felt like Dez genuinely didnt know about the tradition and that hes actually a humble good kid

For the life of me, I'll never understand why people can't be honest about their team.

I'm approaching 10 years on these boards, and I can count on my fingers and toes the amount of people I've "met" that had the ability to set aside rooting interest when talking football.

I've been called every name in the book for saying we sucked during our 5-11 seasons years ago. By the same people who can now admit we sucked then. But they can never admit anything in the present.

It's like with Jerry. The truth about that guy, a truth that will never change, is he's a fake GM. He doesn't know personnel. He doesn't know how to put together a football team. He doesn't understand the inner workings of what makes one tick. He's a con man and a salesman who puts himself over the success of his team. He cashed in some of that Cowboys' mystique to get a real football man in here to build what we see today. The Cowboys will always be working at a disadvantage in the front office as long as he's in it.

Good luck getting a Cowboy fan to admit that now.

But when he finally isn't around anymore and when the Cowboys ever hire a real GM with an actual personnel track record, then ask those same people about Jerry. They'll be much more willing to assess him fairly.

I guess it's a defense mechanism as a fan.

I said nothing about true fans. I'm sad that you read that and that's what you got out of it. It makes me concerned for your safety.

But I am one of the rare fans who is a worthy read.

Why is that? I'm never wrong? No. I am. But I can tell you right now what you think of anything Cowboys related now and in the future. You'll spin positive. Always. Making you a complete waste of time to read. The Cowboys sign receiver X in free agency. I wonder what illuminati thinks about that. No I don't. Because I already know. You offer me nothing.

But don't feel too bad. There are legions of you around. Stuffed in cyber buses all across this country.

With me you're going to get my honest opinion. It could be positive, it could be negative. Maybe it's right and maybe it's wrong. But it's always exactly what I think of the situation as if it's any team in the league. No fluff. No spin. I can read a guy like that and take what he says seriously.
