He was turning it around a bit before he entered Mike Zimmer's blitz only 10% of the time defense.

Right, we don't need pass-rushers.

By pass rushers, do you mean we cant do without his less than 3 sacks a yr production?

I cant believe the Bungles would let him leave, not sure how they'll get by without those 1.5 sacks he had last yr

Did our 4th OLB give us 1.5 sacks last year?

This is a 3-4, we need to collect OLBs. Take a flyer on Lawson and draft one. Or even 2.

Taking a flyer on a former 1st round choice is a Parcells' thing.

Again, scouts and personnel men once thought highly of his skill set, so the ability is there.

name a time we did this, with someone who was a highly thought of first rounder, but had sucked with his team since entering the league so we picked him up and reclaimed him with Parcells. I can literally not think of a single time we did that. Al Davis is like the king of it with guys like Curry and co.

Victor Butler was our 3rd OLB you nit-wit.

I thought you were saying Lawson was the 4th LB for the Bungles (in a 4-3) so I compared him to the top backup in our 3-4

we dont need him....I'd rather draft people with some upside

I said 4th OLB. How could you confuse that?

And you're right, we don't need to collect OLBs. You could easily cut him and face only a tiny ripple of a cap hit if he doesn't prove in camp that he still has his ability.

I swore after we made the move to sign Colombo, Parcells said that you always take a chance on former 1st round picks.

There was no caveat that said only if they're coming off of injury, that I can recall.

I think that was his explanation for signing Colombo to essentially redshirt for a season.

It's really hard to argue against Kamerion Wimbley, especially since signing him would take up less room than Spencer's $8.8M cap hit and would mean we could sign another 1 or 2 players. He's only 3 months older than Spencer and in only 1 more season than Spencer, Wimbley has 21 more career sacks.

I was going to go with Early Doucet, WR, from the Cardinals.

He's only 26, has good size, and plays physical. I think he would do well with Romo and as our #3 WR. I'd give him a 2-year deal and let him compete with Holmes, Radway, Harris, and ...choke, cough... Ogeltree.
