No, we don't need more games. Teams cant keep guys healthy for 16 games.
I don't want to see 2-4 more regular season games if it means having to promote practice squanders to fill significant roles late in the season because of all the injuries.
What good does that do? Still lesser talented guys at the end of the rosters who will have to fill significant roles at some point.
Adding more games just makes it more likely that the championship teams arnt necessarily the best teams, just the one's that got luckiest with injuries. You'd have .500 teams winning the super bowl all the time simply because they might have had a luckier yr with injuries than a much better team.
And the overall quality play has been slipping for years already. Watering down the league more by adding games and more mediocre players just means more mediocre play. It also shortens the careers of some positions by quite a bit.
I just like watching football and wanted to hear reasons FOR extended season. I guess I'm not going to get that here. I tend to agree with you, but was just throwing it out there anyway.
