In speculating about who might wind up as the Cowboys’ No. 3 receiver now that Laurent Robinson has signed with Jacksonville, let’s not forget about Raymond Radway.

The undrafted rookie from Abilene Christian suffered a season-ending leg injury late in the preseason finale at Miami last year, but he’s expected to fully recover in time for training camp in Oxnard, Calif.

Radway showed good speed and hands during last year’s camp and preseason. The McKinney native also has great size at 6 foot 3, 193 pounds.

Radway is one of a handful of young, raw wideouts on the Cowboys roster, a list that includes 2011 sixth-round pick Dwayne Harris, Jerry Jones favorite Andre Holmes and former UTSA sprinter Teddy Williams.

Receivers to keep an eye on in free agency include Early Doucet, Kassim Osgood, Devin Thomas and Trinity alum Jerheme Urban. Dallas might also draft a receiver next month.

Robinson had a breakout season in 2011, leading the team with 11 touchdown catches.

The Cowboys will miss Robinson’s undeniable chemistry with Tony Romo, but the good news is that they’ve got some young, hungry guys chomping at the bit to fill the void.

It also wouldn't suprise me one bit if Paytrick Crayton was released in San Diego, and ended up back in Dallas this year.

No doubt the Cowboys will draft more receiver projects after they let the most consistent receiver get away. And we'll be stuck with an oft-injured Austin and head case in Bryant.

If we don't sign a free agent it'll probably be Holmes or Harris taking over.

I like Radway to but that was a nasty injury he had last year. Don't know if he'll be the same player after that.
