What They Should Be Thinking Today: Dallas Cowboys

In an attempt to get inside the heads of NFC East teams, we occasionally take a step back by looking at what each squad should be thinking at any given point. In light of Wednesday night's win over the New York Giants, here's what should be going through the Dallas Cowboys' heads.
Kevin Ogletree is the man for the No. 3 job
It appears Ogletree is a late bloomer because he looked the part against the Giants. Sure, their secondary was in rough shape, but Ogletree was running crisp routes, his hands were solid and he made plays when we needed him to. Our offensive focus remains on Dez Bryant, but we now know that Ogletree can be relied on while split wide on the opposite side of the field.
We're confident in Dwayne Harris, Cole Beasley and Andre Holmes, but we'd rather not test those unproven receivers unless we have to.
And yes, we know that Tony Romo can turn scrubs into stars, but Ogletree possesses the right recipe to make that happen.
We can survive without Jay Ratliff
Josh Brent and Sean Lissemore took a combined 50 snaps, grading out positively by Pro Football Focus. Both were monsters against the run, helping clog lanes while DeMarcus Ware, Jason Hatcher and Co. did their thing as pass-rushers.
This is yet another sign that we can count on those two 24-year-old defensive linemen going forward. Brent has the sheer size to dominate early downs, while Lissemore is versatile enough to take snaps from anywhere.
We're thrilled right now with how deep the entire defense is. The only spot without quality insurance policies is safety.
This is a Super Bowl-worthy team
The last thing we want to do is overreact to one game, but confidence is so important in this league, and we're beginning to realize that we have the right ingredients to win a Super Bowl. DeMarco Murray is a true game-changing back, Tony Romo is a top-five quarterback, Tyron Smith is becoming an elite left tackle, the interior offensive line is better than it's given credit for and we might have a four-headed monster of pass-catchers.
And that's just the offense.
After dominating in the preseason, the defense was superb again Wednesday night. Morris Claiborne was surprisingly steady in his career debut, and Brandon Carr showed signs of being a true lockdown corner. The new safety duo looked good and our defensive front didn't miss a beat without Ratliff. This pass rush outperformed the Giants' rush Wednesday, and DeMarcus Ware continues to show why he's the best player in the division.
We just have to stay focused now and avoid mistakes. If that happens, we'll execute.
