The odd differing analysis of fans/media and a scout

Yesterday on all three local postgames which include rocket ismail and drew pearson and reading fans all over the internet.....I read and heard repeatedly that free played lousy and livings was very good and is playing very good.

Bryan broaddus just said that was free's best game since before he signed his contract and he played the whole day on the second level blocking backers.

he said tyron smith and nate livings really struggled and slowed down the running game. Claimed livings is having a hard time moving and getting to his secondary block, costing the running game.

Its just so odd to me and its so easy to see how perceptions start. Most of the media is just lousy anyway guys like jjt, watkins, richie whitt and everyone at the fan........but to have it completely backwards is a first.

I guess livings and smith not getting penalties in the game and free getting a false start just triggers there reaction that hey this guy sucks and then they just spread it around everywhere without any actual analysis.

just wanted to post that because it is really apparent to me hearing norm, the fan guys and the espn guys on twitter bagging on free and praising livings and smith. Maybe broaddus is wrong....I dont know, just find the polar opposite opinion to be odd/funny i guess.

I was actually going to post a thread on a similar topic

Seems like most fans are upset after yesterday's win! Wtf did people expect? That was about as good as I could expect us to play. Sure it could have been better, but not by much. We didn't beat ourselves. That's a great start.

I expected us to lose. I knew it would be close regardless. Not sure why anyone expected otherwise.

I think most fans are guilty of - and I'm included in this - simply watching the ball from start of the play to finish.

Very rarely do fans focus on a particular player or position. They only hear about an offensive lineman when there's a penalty, or when the announcers talk about the player during the game.

I do that every game. When the ball is snapped to Romo, I'm watching him and what he's doing. I'm not watching the right guard.

I'm glad Hairic posted the replay. It'll be interesting to go back and take a look at it throughout the week and see how the individual lineman played.

I would always trust a scout who is watching actual game tape than some fool on the Ticket or ESPN or especially Fan personalities.

All I know is, I can't wait to hear Drew Pearsons refreshing takes on Dez Bryant this week.

Drew Pearson wore #88 himself, you know.

dont give drew a bad rap for that though.

He is really complimentary of the team if you actually listen to him. He is pretty honest about things actually. He does get carried away with the 88 thing though.

the fan is just dreadful.

the morning show is just, well its a jets fan from ny and skins fan from virginia and they are not interesting at all.

the elf and slater show is the worst show on radio i have ever heard. Slater is gorgeous, but she is just not cut for radio nor is elf.

the afternoon show is a complete giveup everyday for 4 hours.

Certain people here have stated that they don't care what Jerry has to say, so that leaves experienced NFL types like Drew to fill the vacuum.

It's not hard to witness Tyron Smith sucking.

Just watch the replays of a run to the left getting stuffed, and see Tyron Smith blowing past everybody, not laying a hand on anyone. I even saw him run back to help out Livings while Phillip Tanner was running past him, getting swarmed for a loss.

Damn, I wish we could have that one back.

Free has been really good the past two games.

I thought Smith was outstanding vs Baltimore, but was a little hot and cold yesterday. He didnt have any problems in pass protection that I saw though.
