The NFL tweaked the catch rule, and we're still trying to figure out if Dez caught it
By SportsDayDFW.com
The latest update to the NFL's catch rule is in, so it's time to dredge up the all-important question: Did Dez catch it (retroactively)?
ESPN's Kevin Seifert passes along what's changed with the catch rule.

Long story short, the NFL's replaced the language about the player "making a football move" with a long definition of what a "football move" is supposed to be.
While the NFL is trying to introduce a more exact definition, it looks like there are now just more opportunities for the catch judgment to be left up to a referee's opinion.
The 2015 rule read: "A player is considered to be going to the ground if he does not remain upright long enough to demonstrate that he is clearly a runner. He does that by gaining control of the ball, touching both feet down and then, after the second foot is down, having the ball long enough to clearly become a runner, which is defined as the ability to ward off or protect himself from impending contact."
So did Dez (retroactively) catch it?
Best we can say is it depends on the referee.
But we all know he caught it.
